This year students enrolled in Contemporary Math I, II, III, or IV are required to bring their own graphing calculator to class as well as use it for homework. Students are encouraged to buy their own calculator, preferably a TI-83 plus or TI-84, in order to use the calculator in classes at Horizon as well as in college. There are several stores that have sales on calculators as school starts. Also, we will be selling TI-83 plus calculators during registration August 5th, 6th, and 7th for $95. If you choose not to purchase a calculator, we will rent a TI-83 plus calculator to your student for a fee of $15 per course. Students buying a calculator on their own will need to have it by the end of the first week of school.
