Special Announcements

 

Students:  If you plan on bringing a guest to the Homecoming dance you must pick up a Guest Pass form in the Deans Office. The form must be signed and turned into the Deans Office by Friday, October 5th.

 

Teachers and students if you did not get an ID picture taken, please see Ruth Cummings in the Counseling office. Your picture will be taken and you can pick up your ID the following day. 

 

Seniors:  The deadline to order your Senior Class panoramic picture at the lowest price is this Saturday by Midnight.  Don’t miss out!  This is the only Senior class picture taken.  Extra order envelopes are available in the Main Office.  You can order online atwww.BestClassPicture.com.

 

Attention all senior and junior boys.  Sign up is now available in the main office for our 4th annual powder puff volleyball game, $25 per player.  Space is limited to 12 members per team and will go fast, so sign up immediately.   Event is October 3rd at 6:30, Horizon main gym.

 

Junior and Senior girls:  If you would like to play Powder Puff football you must pick up a form at the Student Government room, Q2701.  The form and money must be turned into the Main Office by Friday, September 7.  There is a meeting for all participants on Wednesday, September 12th in the Student Center immediately after school.

 

Students, please have your ID cards ready to hand to the cashier at lunch.  When you have your ID card out and available the lunch lines move very quickly.  When we have to look up your number it takes more time.  Please help us to help you to have more time to enjoy lunch with friends by having your ID card out and ready for the cashier to swipe at lunch time.

Also students Don Ramon vegetarian and sausage burritos will be available for $2.75.

 

Counseling News

SENIORS:  Remember that, if you are considering re-taking your ACT exam before submitting your college applications, NOW IS THE TIME TO GO REGISTER FOR THE OCTOBER 27th EXAM!   Don't procrastinate -- go to the actstudent.org  website and get 'r done!

 

Horizon students are also invited to attend complimentary Fall ACT Prep & Review Sessions hosted free of charge at DeVry University, conveniently located near-by in Westminster on 122nd Avenue.  Saturday sessions will be held from 8:00 until 5:00 on October 20 and December 1.  Lunch is provided, so don't miss these FREE opportunities to improve your scores!  Space is limited to 30 students and they fill quickly, so see your counselor today for registration information!

"Attention Hawk Fans:  Tonight at 7:00 your #9 Ranked Mighty Hawks travel to Regis to take on perennial powerhouse Regis High School in a pivotal early season game.  The Hawks are aiming to make a statement that they belong among the state's elite football teams in 2012.  We need everyone there to support us and we need you to "Bring the Noise!"

 

Gutten Morgen!  German National Honor Society will meet Monday, September 10th from 3-3:30 in room N2404.

 

Attention Students: The first Community Service Club meeting of the year will be this Monday the 10th at 3:10 pm in room 02513. Everyone is invited to join us for an ice cream social and find out the fun service activities that are planned!!
