You asked for and it is coming - Allegro premium coffee! Coming very soon;Allegro coffee will be available in the cafeteria during breakfast and in the Hawks Nest the rest of the day. Coffee will be arriving next week, maybe even sooner.
Students: The Library has over 500 books that have gone to lost. This means many students are showing a fee for Library Books on Infinite Campus. Please return the books or come in and renew them to have this fee removed from your account.
Freshman and Sophomore Leadership meeting Wednesday, October 17, after school in room Q2716. All those participating in the Trunk or Treat Street need to attend the meeting Wednesday after school in Q2716 as well.
SENIORS - The deadline to submit your senior photo and quotation for the yearbook is Friday, October 19. Please go to the yearbook link on the Horizon home page for more information.
“Are you bored after school with nothing to do? Well, maybe Tennis Club is the answer. Coach Le would like to invite you every Tuesday and Thursday (weather-permitting), from 3:30pm-5:00pm, to come out to Horizon’s tennis courts and play. It’s a fun way to meet new friends, learn a new sport, and get some exercise. If you would like more information, please check the flyers in the hallway and contact Coach Le.”
ATTENTION JUNIORS AND SOPHOMORES:
SOPHOMORES and JUNIORS: Today will be the final day to sign up in the Counseling Office for the PSAT test. This test is practice for the college entrance SAT exam PLUS it’s the only way to qualify for the National Merit Scholarships! Don't procrastinate any longer! Sign up before Monday! The test will be given on October 17, and spaces are limited to a first-come, first-served basis.
STUDENTS INTERESTED IN PRE-MED PROGRAMS AT UNIVERSITY OF COLORADO DENVER:
There will be an informational session on Saturday, October 27, from 10:-- - noon at the Anschutz Medical Campus to provide you with an overview of the program and the application process. See counseling bulletin board for more information.

National Art Honors Officers meeting on Monday 10/15 after school. National Art Honors Society meeting on Thursday 10/18 at 3:10. All art-interested students are welcome!
Boys lacrosse players and parents- Our Coyote Lacrosse Parent/Player meeting is set for Tuesday, October 30th, 7:30PM in the Monarch High School auditorium. This a very important meeting so please make every effort to attend. The coaches will talk about the upcoming season and important deadlines. You will get a chance to sign up for the many volunteer opportunities we offer.
Are the howls of the unknown haunting you and begging you to enter into the eerie forest of literary creativity? Then join fellow students who want to work on their creative writing at CREATIVE WRITING CLUB. We will meet the first and 3rd Tuesdays each month from 3:00 – 4:00 pm in room P2604. We will be meeting Tuesday, October 16th. Any questions, please see Mrs. Nelson.
Students interested in the Weight Lifting Club can meet in the Weight room on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 3:15-4:00 for a great workout. All you need is a permission form signed by your parents. Let the workout begin.
