I began my teaching career in 2004 here at Horizon High School - Go Hawks! This year I am teaching Marketing, International Marketing, and Web Design. In addition to my teaching duties I am also a DECA and FBLA advisor. I am passionate about creating thoughtful, well rounded students and citizens who will develop into lifelong learners. In my free time, I love hanging out with my wife and three daughters, traveling, going to concerts, enjoying the incredible outdoor activities in Colorado, reading, and watching soccer and Broncos games. Please ask your students about our online Google classroom sites that will be used for their classes. The best way to contact me is through the website contact form or call me at extension #4461.
Overview of Remote Learning:
As we transition into a remote learning format Mr. Schrader's classes will run on a weekly basis from Monday (except the first week starts Wednesday, April 1) through Sunday. Classroom instruction will be delivered through the Google Classroom previously established for your course: International Marketing and Marketing (email me if you do not have your Google Classroom code).
At the beginning of each week (Monday) you should check your Google Classroom page for your class to determine what you need to complete by Sunday at midnight. In a typical week you will be asked to turn in a portion of the assignment by Friday for attendance purposes.
Mr. Schrader will be available for office hours during the following times.
Monday - 11:45 am - 12:30 pm and 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm (email)
Tuesday - 12:30 pm - 1:15 pm and 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm (email)
Wednesday - 8:30 am - 10:30 am (Zoom + email)
Thursday - 1:15 pm - 3:00 pm (email)
Friday - 7:15 am to 8:00 am and 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm (email)
During office hours I will be checking and responding to email. In addition, on Wednesday I will be available to video chat through Zoom (Zoom link is posted in Google Classroom) if needed/requested. Please feel free to set up a different time to meet with me if none of the above times work for you.
Attendance will be based on weekly participation in coursework. If the student is interacting with material and able to demonstrate this by participating in the weekly course content then student will be marked as present for the week.
