OVERVIEW OF REMOTE LEARNING
As we transition into a remote learning format, our classes will run on a weekly basis from Monday (except the first week starts Wednesday, April 1) through Sunday. Classroom instruction will be delivered through the Google Classroom previously established for your course: (students should email me if they need our Google Classroom code).
At the beginning of each week (Monday) you should check the homepage for your class to determine what you need to complete by Sunday at midnight. In a typical week you will be asked to: review posted Google slides, complete assigned readings and or assignments/worksheets.
In addition, some classes may be required to complete tests or projects in addition to weekly assignments. These assignments will be noted in the weekly announcements.
I will be available for office hours during the following times:
Monday - 8:00am- 10:00am (via email)
Tuesday - 12:30pm-2:30pm (via email)
Wednesday - 8:00am- 10:00am (via Zoom meeting, link in Google Classroom)
Thursday - 1:15pm-3:15pm (via email)
Friday - 7:15am-8:00am and 2:00pm-3:15pm (via email)
During office hours I will be checking and responding to email. While the above times are designated office hours, students can email me anytime! On Wednesday’s I’ll be available via Zoom for face-to-face instruction, answering questions or just a pop-in to say hello!
Assignments point value will be communicated in the google classroom. All assignments are due by 12am on Sunday’s. If a student does not do as well as expected and would like to make corrections, please communicate that with me and I will work with you.
Projects will have clear expectations and rubrics. Students are encouraged to please ask questions if they do not understand something.
Attendance will be based on weekly participation in coursework. If the student is interacting with material and able to demonstrate this by participating in the weekly course content then student will be marked as present for the week.
