The Ultimate Field Trip III
The Horizon DECA Chapter would like to invite you to accompany them on an eleven day tour of China during Spring Break of of 2009, March 21-31. Ms. Valentine will be taking our third group of Marketing/DECA students overseas. The last two tours (Ultimate Field Trips I & II) focused on Europe. The tour will be organized and operated by ACIS Tours of Sacramento, California; the highest rated and best educational tour company in the world. The tour, "China Old and New" will take us to the most incredible cities and sights of China.
Students will have the opportunity to see the greatest emerging economic and political power in the world.
In a global economy, an understanding of foreign markets, observing how business is conducted in other parts of the world, and the experiences this tour will provide will energize our students and create a desire to experience and learn more about the world around them.
Students will experience the culture of China!
Students from Horizon High School, Marketing/DECA students from other Adams 12 Five Star High Schools, parents, and siblings will be able to enroll in the tour. Please contact Mr. Samora if you or someone you know would like to go, and your not sure if they can enroll.
ACIS has an outstanding website with an abundance of information that can be accessed from our customized trip web page, including a detailed itinerary of our trip. Costs, and enrollment information are also available on the web page. It is important to note that the "Program Fee" includes ALL MEALS. The only costs NOT INCLUDED are the optional insurance plans, spending money (you should allow approximately $30-$40 a day for optional free time activities and shopping), and the Tang Dynasty Show in Xian. Some things you should know:
ACIS is the best in the business, highly recommended and preferred by a number of Horizon faculty that have traveled with ACIS in the past and based on their post trip evaluations.
With ACIS, students enjoy double-occupancy rooms in better, centrally located hotels.
With ACIS, we only need fifteen students and/or parents to enroll in the tour and we get our own tour and tour bus!
ENROLL BY August 31 to insure the current tour price of $3,841. The price will likely increase in Spetember!
We will do our best to provide a variety of fundraising activities to help students raise some of the funds needed.
