Mr. Justin Schrader
Mr. Schrader is the newest addition to Horizon's Marketing and Business staff and a DECA co-sponsor. Mr. Schrader is a graduate of Longmont High School and Colorado State University. Mr. Schrader is in his third year year of teaching, and this is his third year at Horizon High School as well.
Mr. Lonnie Samora
Mr. Samora is one of the co-sponsors of Horizon DECA. In addition to teaching Management/Entrepreneurship, Mr. Samora supervises the DECA Hawks Nest school store and does the cooperative work experience (Hire Education) coordination for all the Marketing and Business students at Horizon. Mr. Samora came to Horizon High School from Northglenn High School in 1991. Mr. Samora is a graduate of Arvada Senior High School and Colorado State University. Mr. Samora was very active in his high school DECA chapter serving as chapter president his senior year at Arvada High School. This is Mr. Samora's 20th year of teaching, all with Adams Five Star Schools, and his 17th year at Horizon High School.
Ms. Jill Valentine
Ms. Valentine is an alum of Centaurus High School in Lafayette where she was an active member of her local DECA Chapter and is a recent graduate of Colorado State University. Ms. Valentine is in her sixth year of teaching and came to Horizon from Kennedy High School in Denver in 2003. Ms. Valentine was recently elected treasurer of the Colorado Marketing Education Asociation, the professional association for Colorado Marketing Educators.
