Horizon High School Seniors & Parents
Once your senior has BEEN ACCEPTED TO COLLEGE, ENLISTED IN THE MILITARY or has a SET CAREER PATH, send their senior picture to their counselor to be put on the SENIOR BOARD in the hall for the class of 2020! We want ALL seniors on the board!
Hello Juniors and Seniors! Are you looking to jumpstart your future? If so, Horizon High School has two upcoming career related events.
The Adams County Apprenticeship Fair and Backpacks to Briefcases is coming to HHS on Thursday, April 29th. Both are Virtual events and free to attend. The Apprenticeship Fair allows you to connect live with representatives from various career industries and to inquire about on-the-job training opportunities. Backpacks to Briefcases will have a career panel discussion and various workshops for you to attend.
For more information, stop by the Counseling office. If you are a remote student, please email Mrs. Gussman in the Counseling.
All permission forms will need to be returned no later than April 26th.
VIRTUAL APPRENTICESHIP FAIR: Thursday, April 29th, 2021 (1-3pm) - See flyer below
This FREE virtual event includes an opportunity to meet with businesses and higher ed institutions offering certificate and apprenticeship programs to discuss career opportunities. Industries represented include: • Skilled trades • Healthcare • Information Technology • Aviation Win prizes! Collect merchandise! Earn gift cards! Details: Open to juniors and seniors. Talk to Mrs. Gussman in counseling for more details. Students will hear from a career pathway panel at 1:00 and then move around from booth to booth for the other 90 minutes in an Open House style to visit booths and speak to company representatives.

This FREE virtual event includes a career panel discussion and a variety of workshops to help you transition into the world of work or continuing education. All students will attend the career panel discussion and then choose three 30-minute workshops to attend. Workshops will include: • Imagining your future • Post-secondary opportunities • Job preparedness • Living on your own • Network with a Professional
