Horizon FBLA Blood Drive

FBLA Blood drive at Horizon Banner

Horizon FBLA to host community blood drive on Friday, November 8.

Horizon FBLA will host a community blood drive with Vitalant (formerly Bonfils) on Friday, November 8 at Horizon High School.  The goal will be to collect 52 pints from staff, students, and community members.  Students who are 16 or 17 years of age may donate with a signed parent permission form.  Students 18 or older can donate without a parent permission form.  There are also restrictions based on a minimum weight for prospective donors.

The Business Room E0505 is where students can get a permission form and select a time to donate on November 8.  Students under 18 cannot select a time until they turn in the parent permission form.  It takes about 30-40 minutes to donate.  Vitalant will set up in the auditorium lobby for the blood drive.

Below is a picture of Ms. Boyes, Student Government Advisor, and Mr. Wilke, FBLA Advisor, holding a plaque celebrating the 30th anniversary of Horizon High School hosting community blood drives!  Traditionally, Horizon FBLA hosts a fall drive and Horizon Student Government hosts a spring drive.  Vitalant will be bringing a cake and other special snacks on the day of the drive.
