2024 Bond Program, Investing in Student Success

Horizon High School Bond Projects

Horizon High School will undergo an extensive renovation as part of the 2024 bond. Between $16 million and $20 million will be invested in the school, with projects covering everything from learning environments upgrades to major infrastructure improvements to HVAC, electrical, water and sewer systems.

All parking lots and roads across Horizon's campus were resurfaced as part of the 2024 bond. This project will benefit all individuals who step onto our campus: students, staff, families and community members alike.

Classrooms and collaborative spaces will be modernized with new furniture and interior finishes and the school athletics will benefit from new restrooms and a synthetic turf field.

The district is also expanding its career and technical education (CTE) offerings to meet growing demand. CTE programming will be designed to prepare students with opportunities to discover new skills and expand their interests. With better technology, safety and security, and improved learning environments, Horizon will be well-equipped to support students now and into the future.

Projected construction budget:

$16.7 million to $20 million

Bond Investment Areas at Horizon High School

The 2024 bond is focused on improving and updating facilities across the district. All bond projects will benefit students, staff and the community by investing in our buildings and – by extension – investing in our community. These investments vary from paving and resurfacing projects to major interior and exterior overhauls to update school furnishings and finishes.

All schools are also receiving comprehensive IT upgrades through the 2024 bond. These upgrades will support faster network connections and support advanced classroom tools. IT projects will also boost school safety and security, with improved security cameras, exterior door sensors and updated safety systems.
