  • College Fair – February 21st 6pm-8pm

    • Join us for Horizon High School’s 1st Annual College Fair! Students and parents from all grade levels will have the opportunity to meet with college representatives, attend information sessions, ask questions, and plan! The fair will be hosted on February 21st from 6 to 8 pm in the student center. The various sessions will include scholarships, going out of state, essays and letters of recommendation, and much more. See the flyers around school and on the hallway monitors for more information!

  • Electives Fair - Last Day Today!

    • Reminder that today is the final day of the Electives Fair in the student center during lunch periods 4/5/6. As all students have received their registration information this is a great way to check out the many different elective class options that HHS offers, teachers and students reps are there for you to ask questions, hear more about the classes and try something new next year.

  • Math National Honor Society - Meeting

    • Math National Honor Society is meeting today in Mobile 6 right after school at 1:00.  If you are interested in more information, come to the meeting!!

  • National School Counselors Week

    • And finally, it is National School Counselors Week. Our school counselors put in many hours behind the scenes to help get you across the finish line! We appreciate all that you do and are lucky to have you! Thank your school counselor! :-)

  • THANK YOU for a Successful WISH WEEK!

    • Thank you for a successful Wish Week at Horizon! We had a week full of spirit days, events, fundraisers, and a school-wide assembly raising money for LifeLine Puppy Rescue. We appreciate all your efforts in making Wish Week amazing!

  • Attention Juniors - SAT

    • Attention all juniors!  On April 12th, all juniors will be taking the SAT. You also have the option to take the SAT with Essay, which some colleges/universities require.  Please see the email sent to you and your parents for more information.   The window to add the essay to your SAT registration starts today January 17th and is open until February 16th.

  • SOAR - Food Drive with Rocky Top Middle School

    • SOAR is hosting a food drive in collaboration with Rocky Top Middle School! Make sure to donate non-perishable items such as canned foods, pantry staples, and individually wrapped snacks through February 6th to the 16th. All proceeds go to the Ronald McDonald House for families with children in hospitals in the Denver area. Thanks Hawks!

  • Assembly Schedule Tomorrow! - Panorama Survey

    • Reminder – we will be on assembly schedule tomorrow so that you, our students, can take the Panorama Student Survey after 2nd period in your 2nd period classroom. If you do not have a 2nd period class, please go to the LMC or Student Center to complete the survey.

  • Student Drop Off Locations

    • When being dropped off, please remind your ride that you must be dropped off in front of the mobiles, not in front of the school unless you have been approved to be dropped off there by school administration.

  • Check your Email - Friday Messenger

    • Please don’t forget to check your school email for our Friday messenger and other important emails from our school.  This is your lifeline for communication from the school and we want to remind you of the importance of checking it regularly.

  • Huey's Home Goods Store

    • Huey’s Home Goods now offers coats, boots, gloves, and hats. And as always, we offer easy-to-heat foods and household items. Scan Huey’s home goods QR codes around the building to put in your order today and pick it up after school tomorrow in L-2210 (beside the library). Also, Huey’s Home Goods now has bins in counseling, deans' office, and main office filled with snacks if you are hungry throughout the day. Just sign your name on the clipboard and grab a snack.

  • Restroom Use & Reminder

    • A reminder to students: please use the restrooms for their intended purposes, and take all social gatherings to the hallways, lobby, or student center during passing periods. As a heads up, the deans will be popping into bathrooms to make sure that students are using the restrooms responsibly.

  • Interested in being a Lifeguard?

    • Adams 12 Five Star Schools is offering classes for training on being a Lifeguard. See Mr. Tonjes to register!

  • Trash & Recycling

    • Please make sure you are picking up your trash and throwing them away in the designated trash bins throughout the building. The green recycling bins are ONLY used for Paper, Certified Plastics and Metals.

  • TEDx Youth@CherryCreek Event

    • Have an idea worth spreading? TEDx Youth at Cherry Creek is hosting its second annual youth event on Saturday, March 4th, 2023, 1:00pm – 5:00pm at the Armory Performing Arts Center, Brighton CO. There’s an open call for speakers and we encourage to apply! For more information, visit

    • Journalism has a podcast about homecoming stories out right now! And we’re covering events by the day! We’ve already covered the Powderpuff game and the first day of spirit week, so see our stuff at!

  • Announcements
