Horizon High School welcomes German exchange students

Horizon High School welcomes German exchange students

This February 21, students from the Friedrich-Rückert-Gymnasium in Ebern, Germany stayed with Horizon High School families and attended HHS through a program called the German American Partnership Program (GAPP). The program pairs schools in the US with schools in Germany for a short-term exchange program (typically three weeks).

HHS students who hosted a German student will travel to Ebern, Germany this summer and stay with the same German student and their family. This program began at HHS in 2009 and occurs every other year. Since 2009 over 100 Horizon High School families have participated in GAPP and many have forged life-long intercultural relationships with our friends in Germany!!!
