Early Childhood Education I, Independent Living, Culinary Nutrition
I began my high school teaching career in 2018 and joined the Horizon High School faculty in the fall of 2019. Prior to teaching high school I worked in a hospital as a registered dietitian and taught for five years at Front Range Community College. In addition to teaching Early Childhood Education, Independent Living, and Culinary Nutrition, I am the sponsor of the Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) organization at HHS. I am passionate about teaching Career and Technical Education (CTE) courses as they provide students great opportunities for hands on learning and teach pratical skills for life after high school. In addition, I love how Family Consumer Science classes connect multiple disciplines. When I’m not teaching I stay busy with my two school-age kiddos and together our family enjoys skiing, hiking, mountain biking, or just about anything outdoors. My online classroom is available through Schoology. The best way to contact me is through the website email contact form or my classroom extension #2340.
