Courses taught: Spanish 1, Spanish 2
About me: I was born and raised in Madrid, Spain, and I feel very honored to share my language, culture, and traditions with my dear students. I strongly believe that learning a second language is an opportunity for my students to better understand and appreciate the diversity of our world, and a necessary skill in today’s global economy. When I am not teaching you can find me reading or looking for new things to learn. I love spending time with my two kids and husband. Whenever possible, we love to travel to countries where we can learn about different cultures.
Back in Spain, I went to Universidad Complutense of Madrid Law School for an Associate. Since I moved to the USA in 2003, I started working as a Spanish substitute teacher and I began working for Adams12 as a paraprofessional in 2011. After graduating from Metropolitan State University of Denver in 2017 with a BA in Modern Languages, I started working as a Spanish teacher for Jeffco Public Schools. I began teaching at Horizon High School in 2019 and since then I have been teaching Spanish I and Spanish II.
