As a former Horizon graduate, I was excited to return in 1997 as social studies teacher and the cheer/poms coach. Since that time, I have been busy earning a Masters degree in Literacy and then back to school for an 2nd endorsement in Administration. In the administrative realm I served Horizon as an Assistant Prinicpal/Activities Director and now as Principal. Everyday I love coming to work and seeing our students engaged in the classroom, on the athletic field, and in the co-curricular space! I truly believe have the best students, staff, and community in Colorado! Go Hawks!
If your student is experiencing issues, we ask that parents/guardians first discuss concerns with the teacher/coach/sponsor. If the issue is not resolved, please feel free to reach out to me directly by filling out the information below.
Thank you for being an integral part of your student's high school experience! I am looking forward to the opportunity to collaborate. It is a great day to be a HAWK! -Mrs. Brady
REMOTE LEARNING
Hello Hawks,
As you know from our previous communications Adams 12 and Horizon High School is beginning the 2020-2021 school year remotely. Our staff has been working diligently to make this the best possible experience for our students. Grace and consistent, considerate communication will be the key to success for everyone as we move through these unprecedented times. My team and I are excited to see students back engaged in learning and can’t wait to join students in virtual classrooms!
Horizon High School-Remote Learning Plan for Fall of 2020
Synchronous Learning will occur on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.
- Students virtually attend classes following their schedule in Infinite Campus following our regular bell schedule
Asynchronous Learning will occur on Wednesday. On this day teachers will be available for extra assistance during regular school hours 7:45-1:00pm. In the afternoon teachers will be involved in ongoing professional learning.
- On our days of synchronous learning (M, T, Th, Fr), teachers will be taking daily/period attendance and parents will need to call in all absences to the Horizon Attendance office: 720-972-4597. Attendance on Wednesdays will be recorded at the end of the academic day.
This year we will return to our normal grading procedures. Grades will be updated weekly within IC. All assignments, learning materials and resources will be made available in Schoology.
