Courses Taught: World History and Geography, 10th Grade. US History I/II, 11th Grade. Student Government.
About Me: I began my teaching career at Horizon High School in 2011 after graduating from the University of Northern Colorado with a degree in Social Science with an emphasis in Secondary Education. In 2017, I earned my Master’s in Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Education from Adams State University.
Studying history is the key to understanding how changes in the world shape our lives today and provide context for what we see around us. This is why I love teaching history, being able to engage with students as they begin to understand the world around them. I have taught a variety of classes at Horizon but currently, teach 10th grade World History and 11th grade American History. In addition to teaching social studies, I am the adviser of Student Government. If you are a parent/guardian of Student Government and would like some additional information, please click here.
Outside of school, I love to travel and enjoy the outdoor activities that Colorado has to offer (except downhill skiing…I have fallen one too many times).
The best way to reach me is through the HHS website contact form or by phone @ 720-972-4561. Please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions or concerns you may have regarding your student.
