Counselor for all SOAR students (grades 9-12)
I started working as a School Counselor in 2006 after having two other careers in non-profit work and construction. I have been a Counselor in the both middle school and high school and enjoy working with students of all age groups. I’ve been at Horizon since 2014 and love being a Hawk!
My goal in counseling is to support students with their emotional well-being, post-secondary planning and manage their everyday lives. I feel it is important to collaborate with students, parents, teachers and community members to ensure that our students are reaching their goals and striving towards their potential.
When I am not at school, I enjoy spending time with my family. We like being outdoors (camping, hiking, golfing, and gardening) and just spending time together. I also love to cook, go to concerts, travel and of course, there are always projects to do around the house.
